Mialissya

Mialissya (mee’-ah-lis-SAI’-ya) was once Kaylob’s wife. While wandering the eastern plains and foothills, Kaylob and Hyno would try their best to heal the land as they passed over it. The areas destroyed by the armies of orcs and goblins, and other creatures unleashed by the forces of Shadow left huge scars in the countryside. Kaylob spread seeds, cleaned up trash and debris, and healed diseases among the plants and animals he encountered. One evening, as the sun was almost set over the Eren to the west, Kaylob was discovered by Mialissya as he tended to an injury suffered by a great brown bear. The bear had torn into every creature it could find, in a rage induced by the pain it suffered. Amazed that Kaylob would risk his life to help the creature, she had to learn more about him, and so approached him as the sun set. Silhouetted by the stunning hues of the Eredane sunset, Mialissya was the most impossibly beautiful young gnome that Kaylob had ever seen. Even Hyno took pause and sat, transfixed by her amazing radiance.

They spent seventeen years together, and she taught him the ways of the wild. She looked younger than he by almost a decade, but Kaylob never asked of her age. He never quite determined how old she was, but her wisdom and skill with magic was a sure sign that he was far younger than she. In the years that followed, none of her beauty faded in the least, and only rarely did they encounter other people in the wilds. They wandered throughout all of the untamed lands in the Eastern Hills as though they were the only creatures left after the orcs came through. She was shy around others, and almost never spoke with anyone.

The last time they saw each other, she fell into a swift-moving river and drowned. Kaylob spent a full year looking for her, but found no sign of her fate.

There is more to the story than this. If you are not one of the Scroll Bearers players, you may read the secret information.
