Judy Nesmith

Judy is Hana Jeong's best friend, loyally at her side for many years. Judy is extremely smart and skilled with computers, and has access to a great deal of money and the things that it can buy after her mother's second marriage. (Her first is one of the things that brought Hana and Judy close together.)

Judy is calm, a clear thinker, and understands Hana very well. She's become somewhat resistant to fear as a result of being near Hana for years. She carries pepper spray habitually, but is not otherwise much of a fighter.

Unbeknown to Hana, Judy is in love with her. Judy has yet to act on her feelings in any way that could not be construed as loyal friendship, however, and Hana has yet to show any sign of any comprehension of Judy's feelings, or, for that matter, anyone's feelings of love.

The Jeong Family

The Jeong family are a fifth-generation family of Koreans. (None of them speak Korean or were raised with any Korean cultural values.)

  • Bae is Hana's father. He works as a plumber, and has re-discovered Korean culture, which he attempts to force the family to emulate. He's studying Korean, as well, but is not even remotely fluent in it. He has tried for many years to get Hana to be more feminine, and less strong-willed and violent, entirely in vain. He's big and loud.
  • Jae-Sun is Hana's youngest brother, age 17. He attends the same school as Hana and Judy. He has a massive crush on Judy. Judy knows this, but has no interest in him. Jae-Sun is intellectual, somewhat passive, and deeply embarrassed by his family.
  • Chung-Ho is Hana's oldest brother, age 19. He works with his father as a plumber, and is very much like him, although not as large.
  • Dae-Jung is the middle brother, aged 18. He's finishing up school, and considering a career other than plumbing. He's very short, and sometimes more belligerent in compensation. On the other hand, he's protective of Hana and Jae-Sun, and encourages Jae-Sun's crush on Judy.

Mila Kusanagi

Mila is an exchange student from Japan. She is an elitist and mean-spirited girl. She is also the heir to a fortune. Her family is the Kusanagi clan. They are a top ranking family in the Yakuza. As the heir to the family, Mila is trained in the traditional Karate of the Kusanagi clan. She had all of the best trainers and all of the best schooling. Everything has been handed to her on silver platers.

Mila is now involved in a conflict with Hana Jeong. A fight is scheduled to happen in the near future. As Mila is a sword expert, she has decided to take this fight to a dangerous level.

Libby Stevenson

Libby Stevenson is a complex girl. Craving all of the attention she could gather, even in her younger days, she always tried to make herself look better than everyone else. It worked for a while.

Then came Jenny Marinia. There was never anything that made Libby despise Jenny, she just didn't like the girl. She began to tease her almost immediately. That all changed when Libby coaxed Jenny into a swimming race, off the record of course. Libby had nothing for Jenny as she handed Libby her first loss in quite a while. Of course, Libby's self esteem could not take this and is now trying to find a way to ruin Jenny forever.
