Description

Family background

The Arashi Clan's blood and ninjutsu were a rival of the Saitou family in ages past. Taking elemental Ninjutsu in a very different direction then the Saitou, and their allies. In stead of focusing on internal Chi reserves, and elements as forms. The Susanoo no Nijutsu (as they rather arrogantly call it). Focuses on learning and changeing how Chi changes forms out side the body. As such they tend to focus on processes in nature, particularly weather for inspiration, and the higher ranked abilities focus on affecting others chi attacks. Their mix of ranged and close in effects, and thier study of counter attacks and redirection, rendered them particularly useful as gaurds and noise makers. The saying was "If you want something done you hire a Saitou, if you wanted it done, and your foe exhausted you hire a Arashi." Their family philosophy says that being seen is often just as important as not being seen, and focuses on the tactical and strategic feint.

However during the modern Ninja era they became firm supporters of the Council, and while not one of the truly powerful Clans, their voice was heard. This made their almost complete turning to the Betrayers Side even more of a shock. Only about a dozen Ninjas disobeyed the Clan's Head Family and stayed true to the Council. The war ended up killing the majority of the Arashi Clan on both sides, leaving only 3 adult Ninjas and a few children on the Council side. Miho's Mother was one of those Ninja. Knowing that her family was doomed uless its numbers increased she mostly retired after the war concentrating on raising her children, and passing on the family art.

Miho's Mother - Arashiki Sakura - Is a hard and fierce woman, that has seen to many friends die on one hand, and had to give up a promising carrier in order to give her clan a future. Known to friends as the bear she takes people aback when they see how *short* she is, and her skinny almost childish frame does not help. Still she takes her duties very seriusly, and will move heaven and earth for her family. She doesn't often express how proud of her children she is though, actual love and caring coming to her only with difficulty.

Miho's Father - Arashiki (formerly Chiba) Motoki Motoki is rather warmer then his wife. Having little talent for the Ninja arts himself he spends his time investing, laundering money, and keeping the money side of the Ninja busness going. He loves his wife dearly even if he sometimes feels that her role as wife is just another role to her. He is much less harsh then her and wonders sometimes if the duty before all mentality his wife is trying to instill is healthy.

Miho's `older` brother died in a car acedent about a year ago.

Miho's `older` sister. Arashiki Arisu. Arisu was always the weakest of her set, and Miho and their brother made sure that she knew it. She is however fairly talented at the theory of chi manipulation, and at social manipulation. At school the position was reversed as she drew classmates around her.

Miho's actually younger siblings: Erika, Kuzuo and Kenji. About Piko's age they are both very annoying and a treasure to her.

Personality and history

Miho doesn't try real hard at getting people to like her. She leaves that to Arisu. Focused to the point of dourness, she comes off when not being an Ninja openly as well slightly mean and mostly forgettable. She doesn't get other's girls obsessions with music, actors, or dates. I mean she wants a husband to watch the house while she does Ninja stuff, but what good is going on a date going to get her?
