Background
Darius Reese: Former military MP turned Defense Contractor after his stint was up, Reese (as he prefers to be called) spent four years in Iraq trying to teach cops in Mosul to be actual cops. When the plague hit, his wife and daughter were among the first to fall ill, and he flew home to be with them. Since their deaths, he has resisted calls to join half a dozen different forces calling themselves the legitimate military government, preferring instead to dwell alone in the empty house that represents the shell of his former life.
