Background

Born on the world of Lhasa, Akil spent his formative years traveling the wilderness. He was a young exile, the lowest of the low in Lhasa's poor tribal subculture. It was from this hardship that he learned to survive and to thrive. His world was one of satisfaction, if not ease. And then he was taken.

Akil did not see his abductors; he woke up aboard a ship. He never knew their identity, only that they were his new masters. Akil was subjected to training that made his previous mountain and steppe days seem like days of leisure. And then he was sent out.

Akil was made to undergo missions for his unknown masters. He would take people who needed taking, and he would silence those who were problematic. Akil had no way to escape, as he had been informed of subcutaneous poison implants near his spine. Akil acted faithfully for years. And then he was let go.

A scar on his back told him that his poison implants were gone. He was left in an alley next to an exquisite suit of armor. He spoke Lhasan, English and Japanese, the latter two languages gifts of his training. He had no cultural context, however, and was forced to learn civilization on his own. He slowly taught himself manners gleaned from the media, currency, living in cities and more. And then he met the group.

He has been with them for a year now, but still considers himself an outsider. He likely will for a long time, and he expects that the others will view him as one, too.

Appearance

Akil is young, about 24, although he doesn't know for sure. He is of medium height and very wiry. He has dark black hair and medium brown
