The Necromunda Gang Registry was created for all those purpoes. 


There are two ways the public user can submit a gang roster to The Necromunda Gang Registry. If a user already has a website with a gang roster, he or she may simply add a direct link to the gang roster into the proper place below. If a user does not have a website, there are simple instructions of how to add a gang roster here into The Necromunda Gang Registry. One strong advantage of creating a gang roster here at wiki.rpg.net is that when you update your gang's advancements and changes, a history of those changes will be automatically viewable to you so you can see how your gang or its individuals evolved.

To add an external link into the current directory of external gang rosters, find the proper gang type or house, click the edit button above it, write the URL, add a space, write the name of the gang, then surround this entry with brackets. For example:

And it will show up properly after you click the "Save page" button below the edit screen.

If you don't have a website, you can still contribute your gang's roster to The Necromunda Gang Registry through the instructions below.

You may also decided to enter your gang's roster here even IF you do have your gang's roster online elsewhere?

Why?

One major advantage of adding your gang's roster here is that when you update your gang's roster with advances or new equipment, you will be able to track the changes in the page's history. If you plan to do so, take note of the "Summary:" field underneath the edit screen. You can make little notes like "Tommy's A increases by 1".

====Instructions====

The instructions to add your gang roster here are quite simple. You only need to do a few things:

1) CREATE A PAGE AT WIKI.RPG.NET

This is the easiest of the three steps.


You can create a page at wiki.rpg.net with little more effort than typing a few letters. 


Go to the URL header above right now that at this moment will right now probably say http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/The_Necromunda_Gang_Registry. Erase the part of the URL that says The_Necromunda_Gang_Registry and type in the name of your gang and hit enter. This will instantly create a new page at wiki.rpg.net. For example, if your gang's name was The Iron Heads, you would type in The_Iron_Heads so that the URL header above would read <nowiki>"http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/The_Iron_Heads"</nowiki> and then you would hit enter and the page is created. 


Write down your URL in an e-mail and e-mail it to yourself just in case.


2) ENTER YOUR GANG ROSTER INTO THAT PAGE

Use the [[The Necromunda Gang Registry Template]] to save you time and effort. Copy and paste it into your own page, modify and edit with your gang's data as necessary.


3) UPDATE THE NECROMUNDA GANG REGISTRY WITH THAT PAGE

This can be done in the same way as the above section on [http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/The_Necromunda_Gang_Registry#Adding_Links_to_Existing_Gang_Rosters adding links]. <nowiki> The only difference is that you can also insert the link writing the page name (without the underscores) and surround it with double brackets [[ ]] like so: [[The Iron Heads]] </nowiki>


And then, you are done. An example of a gang roster made with The Necromunda Gang Registry template can be viewed [http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/The_Sprocket_Holes here], it is a real gang and has been updated with its first battle to show the history viewing advantages of a wiki template as well.
