Turrux then formed Barrundin to watch over the commerce and agriculture of the sentient races while he guarded the Elemental Chaos. It is said that Turrux then severed the ties between the Elemental Chaos and the planes to watch over them for eternity, being only able to return through Ra-Orn's wishes.

Barrundin and Alamah, goddess of winter, have an agreement to each take turns slumbering within the earth while the other prospers. Barrundin created the season of summer and fall for the growing season, allowing the sentient races to reap the harvest of the non-sentient world while Alamah created the seasons of winter and spring to allow the non sentient races and water to reproduce and grow.

Barrundin is primarily worshiped by commoners and merchants in hopes of him granting them prosperity and good fortune.
