====An Unexpected Conversation with Alvah daughter of Delwin====

Alvah sitting in the sitting room of Vek his house in Randal she patiently waits. Except that she barely has patience and she hates waiting. Flicking through her newly extended trump collection her eyes fall upon one passing her fingers. She should see if he is willing to talk. It has been said multiple times he has lots of knowledge as well about Dufiro. Leaning back and with her red drink in a beaker she holds the card up. Reminding herself to soon contact Dwynwen to. She starts to focus on the image a polite request for contact.

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

As Realmer is about to put another bite of food into his mouth, he feels a slight sensation of a Trump contact; considering recent events, he guardedly opens the contact, and is ready for an assault; either Psychic or verbal, depending upon the caller. "Who calls?" he asks in a neutral tone as the contact is made and an unfamiliar face is before him. His face shows curiosity and wariness. He is overly good-looking, pretty in fact, with long white hair pulled back into a thick braid, very pale skin, a clean shaven face and eyes that are quite remarkable; the 'whites' of his eyes are actually pale blue and his irises are pink.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

The woman calling looks curious herself, a tan skin tone but clearly a mix even more clear due to her two different coloured eyes left is bright light blue grey the right dark brown. Hair deep dark black with brown undertone a smaller braid hangs in her hair. When contact is established Alvah smiles slightly. "Greetings, my name is Alvah, daughter of Delwin. Pardon the intrusion but i have heard things about you which made me curious to come in contact."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

The expression on Realmer's face goes from curious and wary to just plain curious; his right eyebrow arches upward and his head tilts slightly to his left. "Well Met, by Magic and Steel, Alvah, daughter of Delwin. You may call me Realmer. I have heard of you recently, from a comrade of mine by the name of Fortunadas. It is curious that I should hear from you so soon after hearing about you. Fort must have boasted on my behalf."

He chuckles lightly. His voice is a smooth tenor; he speaks Thari with perfect diction and inflection. His movements are subtle and graceful... but a power can be sensed beneath the pretty coverings. "So, what could you have possibly heard about me that would draw out your curiosity enough to make contact with me? Most Family members that don't already know me, tend to avoid me." He smiles and chuckles before taking a drink of something.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

As first introductions have been done, Alvah leans a bit more back in her chair listening to Realmer she sips from the beaker with red alcoholic beverage. "Hm curious i have only briefly seen and talked to Fort, he mostly spoke with my father. So no it was not Fort talking about you, it were others." While she talks a white and black snake can be seen slithering along Alvah her arm and shoulder. Clearly wanting attention she boops it on the nose without breaking eye contact with Realmer. "Well to be straight forward. Before my arrival in Amber and meeting the family and such, i came jn contact with Dufiro. The first not that pleasant." She waves her hand about as she speaks. "Later i learned also of other Dufiro. I heard you have plenty of experience and with that knowledge about them to have a meaningful and perhaps educating conversation about the subject." She then grins slightly. "If of course you would be interested in talking about that."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"Dufiro, you say. Hmmmm." Realmer says as he reaches for something out of line of sight of the Trump contact, then leans back and pops a bit of food into his mouth. As he chews it he looks thoughtful.

"Well, I am familiar with Dufiro and the Dufirosim, but I am certainly not an authority on the matter."

He pauses a moment, another thoughtful look upon his face. "But, I guess compared to the rest of the Family I might actually be an authority." He chuckles and smiles. 'Now, before I can determine if I will be able to help you or not, I will need some more information. So, Alvah; what exactly would you like to know about Dufiro? Are you looking for information on a particular individual Dufiro? Or knowledge about the Dufirosim in general? Is there a particular Type of Dufiro you are interested in learning about? Or is it the bargaining methods you are interested in? Or is it perhaps the summoning and binding rituals you are looking to learn about?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Looking a bit disappointed at now an empty beaker she puts it away on probably a table near her.

"Honestly everybody is an authority on Dufiro and Dufirosim compared to me." With a small pause she studies Realmer his face and then shrugs a shoulder as if she just decided something. "General information so far. I feel not very comfortable with binding and summoning so far. And see no need to it." She guides the snake slithering in her neck towards her forearm and hand. "This is Cicero, a Dufiro is bound to him one of guard if i understand, his Dufiro conversation name i do not know, yet. Then there are four young Elementals bound to me, I have recently named them and i do hope to help them learn and grow. So in that to I seek information. "

Letting Cicero go his way again Alvah leans a bit forward. "So you see, grew up with Dufiro, but know so very little about them. I know what i have heard of others. But i am a strong believer in forming information from multiple points. It eliminates more the opinions and biased nature of people." Alvah smiles. "So, would you be willing to talk to me about it Realmer? when time allows of course."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"Well, I wouldn't say that EVERYONE is a authority on Dufiro compared to you, most people in Amber, including the Royal Family, have never even heard of Dufiro, let alone know anything about them. And as far as talking about the Dufiro, I am very open to the idea. It is a subject of much interest to me, especially considering my experiences with them. And I do have the time right now to talk to you about them; I am currently in a small fast time Realm off of the South Stair of Adagalasck. I could pull you through if you like. I have plenty of food and alcoholic beverages available. And my comrade Fort is with me, and he is more of an authority on the Dufiro than I and could fill in any blanks that I might have. Would you be willing to come through? Or do you have pressing matters where you are that would preclude you from coming here?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Letting out a soft scoffing breath she then smiles. "Alright yes many have not worked with or heard from Dufiro." Hearing the invitation Alvah is clearly thinking and looking past the contact of the trump she then shakes her head. "How much i would love to talk with you and Fort in persoj about this. And yes Fort had been named as another authority about the subject. I am afraid time does not permit me to come over. I have some matters here that needs to be handled to a good conclusion." She clearly says the last thing with a vague intent looking slightly confused herself. "Though if the invitation would be open for a later point in time, i would love to accept."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer smiles broadly, a friendly and welcoming smile. "The invitation to visit is certainly open for a future time of your choosing..." His smile fades and his look becomes more serious. "But know this; Adagalasck is a Primal Realm of great Powers, old feuds and great conflict; there are battles being fought in the Region that I now have Leadership of, and there will be open War with an invading Horde in the foreseeable future... so be warned; I may not be able accommodate your visit at any given time, but when time and circumstance permits, I would gladly enjoy a visit and in depth conversation with you." He nods his head deeply and respectfully while still keeping his eyes upon her and still maintaining the Trump Contact. "I will do my best to ensure your safety during your visit... but if you happen to be trained in martial arts, weaponry or warfare, it will be to your advantage." Realmer seems to lean back, away from Alvah, as though he is reclining or reaching for something back and to the side... she notices that he wears a pair of NP Daggers upon his belt; the one on his left bears a large red crystalline gemstone embedded in the pommel and the one on his right bears an equally large blue gemstone. "Though, I do still have time now, if you do, to continue our conversation about Dufiro."

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah inclines her head at the extended invitation a pleasant smile on her face. A smile that as he continues to talk about Adagalasck, changes to perhaps one more deviant. A more intense look. Then in a neutral tone almost non fitting with her facial expression she speaks. "Thank you, and do not worry i will ask before hand if it is an appropriate time. And if need be i am able to defend myself. So yes to all three." Alvah shifts her belt showing her NP dagger as well with a recognizing nod to his daggers. "And i have heard stories of Adagalasck from Hagalta and Dwynwen. Though i had Hagalta more talk about different things. And your sister only talks of it if she feels like it of course." A half shrug and as she said the name Dwynwen her fingers lightly touch the braid in her hair, a slight smile appears on her face. Repositioning herself she then nods. "Well if you still have time so do i. Vek will be playing for hours i'm sure. I do have a question though, to just see what your opinion in the matter is. How do you see Dufiro and the Dufirosim? I know many have different views i would like to know how you see them?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

When Realmer leans forward again, he has a large glass snifter in his right hand that is half filled with a warm amber hued liquid. Realmer looks Alvah deeply in the eyes, penetrating, but not invasive; he holds the stare for just a moment, then studies her features and her form, what he can see of it. She does feel like she is being 'sized up', but not in a lascivious way, nor aggressive. He takes a slow sniff of his drink while swirling it, then takes a small amount into his mouth, savors the flavor then swallows it with a smile of something near to bliss on his face. "A very smart first question. Gauge the source of information before acquiring the information." He nods his head and smiles slightly. "As with all Sentient Beings, I approach them with caution in all matters. I view the Dufiro as I view any race of intelligent, sentient beings; as potential allies or potential enemies, but each on an individual basis. Knowing their potential range of power and power levels, how they acquire and share their powers, and how they bargain for their Power Deals; I am cautious with what I say and how I say it when dealing with Dufiro so as to not inadvertently enter into a Binding Agreement." "As for my view of the Dufirosim... complicated but effective. Several stages of life encompassing advancing power levels with many Paths of Life and Power to choose from. Overall, I feel the Dufiro can be very helpful/useful allies/assets, but dangerous enemies if they are crossed or wronged." He takes a sip of his drink then says: "I do not think the Dufiro are innately Good or Evil, if you believe in those specific and narrow precepts, but I believe each individual can be capable of either or both, as with most Sentient Beings. Their individual Life Path may influence their own point of view and their actions which could affect perception other Beings will have of them." Another sip then he suddenly asks: "What type of Elementals do you have in your service? And what do you know of their powers and their Binding Agreement?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah repositions herself as she is being sized up by Realmer, her grin only widens and the stare returned. Something playful is seen in her eyes, as she looks back. When Realmer starts talking Alvah sits back again pulling her knees up and over the armrest of the chair she is sitting in. "First off thank you, and well information from a corrupted or wrongly informed source can still be entertaining stories. But not in this case as i hear it. Glad to hear that your view is not very different from mine or those that i have already learned some things from." She talks with her hands and at a point there is suddenly a coin between her fingers. Absentmindedly she is flicking the coin between her fingers. "And yes the concept of good or evil are just. to narrowing, i have to agree. Though of course it is easier to classify certain actions at a point of high stress and stakes. But that.... is perhaps an interesting talk for later." The coin disappears behind her hand and a playing card takes it place. "Now, i did learn that of course if you look at certain decisions in life a certain, mindset comes with it. Like you said a Dufiro of life usually tends to try and be helpful and caring. where a dufiro of death would more lean to the destruction and entropy of things. Is that inherently good or evil. no, but they can be seen as such. Just like with any sentient being. We have so many shadows where abhorrent things happen but do they happen out of evil intend or not." She waves her hand dismissively the card is gone and she continues talking and moving her fingers. A small teaspoon is moving along her fingers. "As for my Elementals. First of, they are not mine, nor in my service, the four of them are my friends i have since youth with me. They are still baby Elementals as the one who introduced them to me called them. Today i actually realized i should give them a name to start their path. Which i did, with the help of someone. They are the four elements fire, water, earth, air. We have no binding agreement other then that we met and played a lot together as children." She then lets Cicero slither to one of her hands while the other keeps moving she smiles brings up Cicero's nose to hers and touches it lightly she grins. "And this friend here, i did not bind the Dufiro, that was someone who cared greatly about me, he is a Guard Dufiro. But he is content and working well with Cicero." Holding her other hand still she looks at the teaspoon with a raised eyebrow and tucks it away in probably a pocket. "So another question i was wondering then, you say you respect them as any sentient being, with of course the caution that they can be allies or enemies. How are you viewed in general, by your knowledge of course, by the dufiro?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer smiles and chuckles then says: "That would depend on whom you ask. But to my knowledge, my 'reputation' with the Dufirosim is... spotty at best. Though I have had few dealings with Dufiro, the matter is complicated and involved. My first dealings went well and I made it known I was pleased with the service rendered, but due to unforeseen circumstances stemming from a future encounter with a Masoja of Rage and War, the remainder of the deal and payment were canceled, and not by me. But another Dufiro I have dealt with stated she would help me make my name known within the Dufirosim as an Honest and Shrewd Bargainer. So, I am not really sure what my current Standing or Reputation is, generally speaking, within the Dufirosim." He sips some more of his drink then asks: "So what do you know about the Powers of your Guard Dufiro? And is it a Spirit, an Avasa or Masoja?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah laughs. "Ah yes reputation is very important to them, the stories, the food, hmm. I have not heard your name via the Dufiro so i would not know how they talk of you, but then again, i only know a few. But when you have made a deal with one who would speak well of you i am sure that has been done." Alvah sits straight again. Rolling her shoulders and stretching her neck. It is clear that she can't sit still. "As for your question, what i know of the dufiro in my friend here. I know he is a Avasa of Guard, someone who considers me their niece bound the Avasa to my pet. To protect me. And to keep in touch." She looks a bit annoyed "Not yet noticed that last part, but cant blame him. But other powers no, i do not know of them, my uncle, so to say, did not give that information. Just that he is here to protect and keep in touch. Cicero, the snake is the leading intelligence what i understand. All these things i have only recently learned. like i said even the naming of the baby elementals have only been done today under the watchful eye of a Masoja of Guard." Alvah stands up and starts pacing, while keeping contact. Her movements are thoughtful precise and elegant. After a short pause while looking at Realmer she smiles "So do you deal often with the Dufiro? Or with your current unknown status do you rather hold off on that?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"My dealings with Dufiro and the Dufirosim are limited, aged and currently non-existent. Events that transpired have put a temporary stop to my Dealings with them, but perhaps it is for the best, time to become more knowledgeable and better prepared for future Dealings." He takes a large swallow of the amber hued beverage, which Alvah now believes to be Brandy; the Trump connection has grow strong enough for scents to travel through. "Back to what you were speaking of before, your Dufiro, as it were... A Masoja of Guard, an Avasa of Guard, and four Elementals.... hmmm.... I am curious... do you know the name of the Masoja that visited you and guided you in the naming of the Elementals?" He pauses slightly then continues. "There is a slight possibility I might know said Masoja. In my first dealing, I worked with an Masoja of Guard and a Masoja of Combat, who intended to create an Avasa of Guard and several Elementals.... it is curious that you happen to have the exact combination of Dufiro as well. Perhaps just coincidence." He drinks more of the brandy, obviously savoring the flavor with each sip and swallow.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

While walking Realmer can see Alvah looking for a bottle or something. Finding it she grins wide. It has the same red liquid which was in the beaker before. As if she walks on her toes she walks back to her chair. Lowering herself in the chair in a flowing motion she pours a drink, takes a big sip. Taking a breath she then nods finally ready to answer. "I do not believe in coincidence anymore Realmer. I might have been here for a short time but so far all seems planned, plotted and mapped out even before something might be needed to be planned, plotted or mapped out." Taking another big drink she stares at Realmer. "I doubt there is anything wrong with saying who the Masoja of Guard was, Lord Bandal. He was here recently to help with something and next to that he helped me name my elemental friends." Swirling her drink Alvah. "The elemental friends like i said are with me longer then the Avasa of Guard, that one was joined with my pet later in my life. My uncle summoned elementals to play with me when i was a child and these four and i became friends and stuck together. I only.... forgot..... until recently obviously." Raising an eyebrow Alvah has a questioning look on her face. "If you want the reputation of yourself to be better, is then not the only way to arrange that making deals and sticking to it? While doing you learn. And what i understand especially young ones love to make smaller deals with important people. Helps them greatly as well."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"I'm not specifically looking for a Reputation with the Dufirosim, per se, and under normal circumstances I would agree that making deals will lesser Dufiro would be helpful and wise, but due to my particular situation, created by an unusual set of circumstances, it may be unwise and dangerous for me to have dealing with Dufiro... so I have decided to steer clear of Dealings with Dufiro for the time being." "So, how do you know Vek Hendrake?" He asks casually as he reaches out of view and pulls back what appears to be a stuffed mushroom; he pops it into his mouth and chews quietly.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah sips and shrugs. "Well that is up to you really, i do not of course know your position as it is what is wise or not. I only know what Hagalta told me but i take that with a grain of salt." Looking amused she shrugs

"Isn't he part of the happy family? I think i met him in the library of Amber, while talking with Arlo. Arlo with whom i have spend a lot of time already with lessons." Clearly thinking for a bit she then laughs "Well it was actually because of lessons in conjuration from Arlo that we ended up in Vek his apartment in Randal, and from there i got to know Vek better." A wider grin on her face. "Isn't that how things tend to go, usually by circumstances you meet and get to know eachother better. Like us, you probably have a clearer picture of me and i of you, instead only from hearsay.” Leaning a bit forward she looks curious. "But why do you want to know? any particular idea or stance with relations to the Hendrake family? or is it purely Vek in this case?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"Well, idle curiosity, mostly. But where Vek is involved; it's always about Vek. He IS a part of the Family, a bit distant but still, Family. And I have no ill will towards him, nor particular favor; but he is a very interesting fellow who tends to know a lot and has many circles of connections... so I always take heed when Vek is mentioned; one never knows what one might learn. Plus he does a great impersonation of Benedict; ask he about it sometime... or better yet, ask him to show you." Realmer laughs; a jovial sound, but with a hint of either mischievousness or wickedness. There is a slight twinkle or glint in his eyes. "Have you any other questions about the Dufiro? Or are we delving into side matters and Family Politics now?" His tone is playful and the twinkle/glint is still in his eyes. He take a long pull of brandy from the snifter, holds it in his mouth for a time, eyes almost closed, then swallows, the blissful smile returning to his face.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Thoughtfully she nods. "alright fair enough, yes he is very resourceful, through him i met Lord Bandal actually he had made a deal, to help me clean up a small mess i made. But i will surely ask him later to do a Benedict..."

When she speaks the name Benedict an observant person could see her lip curl in a bit of snarl.

She waves her hand dismissively. "But no i have no further questions of Dufiro, i am happy i could talk to you about it and perhaps when we meet face to face i will introduce you to my friends." She then laughs "Well we can of course further discuss family politics. but i must admit i am not a great source of experience or knowledge in that. Have not even met a decent part of the family. Just some close relatives and people i ran into. One of the first your sister Dwynwen actually. Lovely woman." She gestures her drink to Realmer. "do you have a wish to discuss family politics? or perhaps other questions that come to mind? Since we are in contact now and from a distance of each other enjoying a drink i am open to switch subjects."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"Well firstly; I never really like to talk about Family Politics, but especially since I am sometimes involved in them." He chuckles, swirls his brandy, inhales the aroma then continues. "In regards to my sister, Dwynwen; you do not have to speak well of her just because I am her brother. Truthfully, I barely know her and it has been some time since last we met or spoke. An honest, unguarded opinion of her would be welcome."

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah laughs. "Well i understand. I don't like to talk politics at all. But they tend to happen alot around our family. She raises an eyebrow. "Oh i don't speak well of her cause you are her brother. I don't care if i didn't like her i would say so. Like your father. I find him a despicable ass. But he is an ass with info so sometimes you just have to endure people." She takes a sip and smiles touching the braid. "No Dwyn and i are actually friends and i really lile her. You know that the braid she had from her Hagalta is gone? Satura's braid with Hagalta as well."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"No, I was not aware that either had removed their braid for Hagalta. Since I was not raised as a traditional Adask, many of the Adask customs are barely known or completely unknown to me. I am only peripherally aware of the significance of braids... something to do with a Bond to someone or something, if I recall correctly. And no, my hair pulled into a single braid has no significance; I did it mostly for battle's sake and just a little for style... it seems to go well with my new clothing style choices."

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah laughs. "Oh don't worry, figured in case you were in the know about it you would now know the developments " Looking clearly over Realmer his hairstyle she smiles. "Oh yes having hair out of the way of your work is smart. Be it war or something else. Now for dancing... you want it loose. Adds to the dramatic flow of things. But if you are ever interested in dance. We can talk about that at length at a different time. "

Alvah runs her hand over her mostly braided hair. "The only braid with meaning is this small one from Dwyn when she taught me the first principles of shapeshifting." Sitting back sipping she then looks seriously at Realmer. "So a different question if you do not mind. And if you do not wish to answer i fully understand.

You say that Adagalasck is in an almost constant state of battle. Is that what the realm is like? Or is that due to other reasons? "

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer chuckles then shows a wry smile. "I do consider myself 'stylish' and will change my attire and look to suit my mood or setting." He chuckles again. "And though I am rather agile and graceful, I am only a 'dancer' in the regard that it was forced learning on Rasak and my interest in Kabuki Theater and how dance relates to it; a conversation for another time." "Adagalasck has many old feuds and many new ones; though King Julian and others brought about much stability, conflicts were still common and mostly settled in Arena Wars, battles fought in great Stadiums or Coliseums to minimize collateral damage and total loss of ones forces. But battles outside the Stadiums still occurred. Most recently, with many changes in regional leadership and power bases, many other conflicts have arisen, and a variety of powerful beings could be involved. So, I wouldn't characterized it as all of Adagalasck being in a 'constant state of battle', but there is a lot of fighting; training battles and real ones. And soon an Enemy from outside the Realms of Adagalasck will bring all out Open Warfare to my new home; guaranteeing considerable collateral damage in every possible form... but that will also have to be a conversation for another day; it's complicated and involved." He laughs lightly and drinks a bit of brandy then says: "A bit of advice on Shape Shifting; find your Demon Form, your Chaos Form as it is also called, your Combat Form as most Amberites tend to call it... find that Form and become intimately familiar with all of its benefits and any potential limitations. Then practice Shifting to that Form often, and stay in the New Form for long periods of time; this will make it nearly as natural as your Human Form. Once you have your two Base Forms, then you can truly expand your Shape Shifting capabilities and search for your Avatar or Animal Form." He lifts his snifter and toasts Alvah, then drinks a large amount followed by a smile.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah inclines her head at the comment about dancing and smiles. Slowly nodding as she is informed about Adagalasck taking in the info. "Well about Adagalasck, personally i do not know how much dealings i will have there. But i like to know things and gather information where i can." A small grin appears. "Habits i picked up from my job before being introduced to Amber. King Julian." Alvah shrugs. "Don't know him. Opinions are divided about him but i know he is one of the elders of the family." During the explanation of shapeshifting Alvah leans in. Curiously and highly interested. "Thank you for that advice. Haven't learned much still planning on asking someone to teach me. Dwyn just showed me to change my eye color. Was even before my first time in Amber." Sitting back. "Considering how fast time moves in Rasak it wasn't that long ago. In Amber time." She holds up her glass. "Again thank you for the advice. I will take it to heart when i ever learn shapeshifting. It is on my list so to say."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

“There are many ways to learn Shape Shifting; learning the smaller shifts is a good way to begin. And learning from more than one source is another; every Shape Shifter will have some tip or trick to share. Ask Vek for his advice on beginner Shape Shifting; his point of view may be quite different considering he is from the Chaos end of things and his initial Form was certainly his Demon Form; his advice should be quite interesting.”

He chuckles and wonders himself what advice Vek will give. “I learned Shape Shifting from my Grandfather, your Great Grandfather, Dworkin, then I picked up many tricks along the way from other sources. Though I am not as advanced as some others, I am certainly an accomplished Shape Shifter and would be happy to teach you what I know. Despite my other duties, I already have some responsibilities to teach and train others; I have more than one 'student' requiring varying degrees of attention in a variety of Powers, including Shape Shifting and Sorcery. Should you be interested, you are invited to join me here and learn these things and maybe more. But, know I will put you to work when you're not training. And considering your Rasak training, I will put your training and skills to good use.” He smiles and winks in a playful way. “But I know you still have things to do, and plans in the making and places to go before you might have time to visit Adagalasck. But the invitation is always open. And feel free to bring your 'friends' and any companions with you when you visit; they are welcome as well." “Now I have a question... two actually; you said you recently graduated Rasak... how long ago was that, by days in Amber? And did the course include any magic or magical warfare training? I recently graduated as well, relatively speaking by time in Amber, and I am curious if you served on Adledross before or after I did. Not that it matters, just an idle curiosity.”

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Listening intently to the advice and tips on shapeshifting she smiles. Sipping and listening. At the invitation she inclines her head. "Thank you, that is very kind of you. I have recently been taught in Sorcery actually, Bleys was my teacher. From there i asked Arlo to instruct me in Conjuration. That is where my lessons are now.

After that yes Shapeshifting and i will ask Vek for his advice as well." Alvah looks at Realmer and laughs

"Oh you might overestimate me when thinking about putting my Rasak training and skills to use." A deep breath exhales and she nods. "Yes plenty of things to do. Mostly training. Some just sorting personal things out. From there i see where my path leads me. But thank you for the invitation. As for your questions it was very recently. Lets see i have been there very recently in Adledross. I think in Amber time 2 weeks ago. I haven't been long in Amber after i graduation. I tend to move alot. As for magical training or magical warfare. No not really. Just an army, leading jt from one point to the other." An exhausted sigh come from Alvah as she recalls the leading of the troops. "Just happy that is done."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer chuckles and smiles at Alvah. "The rigors of command are not for everyone. If you like being in command; then you shouldn't be in command. If you dislike being in command; then you probably should be in command. If you are bad at being in command, despite your best efforts; then you shouldn't be in command. Knowing and admitting you are bad at command is a sign of both intelligence and wisdom." He toasts her with his snifter and drinks some brandy. "Regardless of your experience on Adledross, Rasak builds great soldiers, and you did graduate. As a Leader, my honest assessment of you, based on our conversation, was not to place you in into a leadership role, but into a role as a specialist and bodyguard; your body languages and body movements indicate you are a skilled warrior and I am sure you have other skills to offer that would make you effective in many roles. Don't put yourself down or count yourself out. Just because you are young and still learning doesn't mean you cannot be skilled and effective. And being young means you have a lot of potential and many paths to choose from, which means a lot to offer someone willing to invest." "And just to satisfy your curiosity, I am pretty sure you graduated shortly before I did; at very most, it has been a week and a half in Amber Time... I think it is actually closer to just one week since I returned... much has happened. If you should speak with Dwynwen again, tell my sister I said hello and bid her well. And tell her she should contact me when she desires, if she so wishes."

Alvah laughs and shakes her head. "Or just not be in such a situation command is needed. I just hated being in command. Was so relieved when the roles were switched." Taking a sip Alvah taps her beaker with a finger thoughtfully. "Well i usually work alone, yes i have experience as a warrior. But my specialty lies in retrieving and gathering." A proud look appears on her face. "Back in shadow where i grew up i was a professional thief. Mostly intelligence gathering, magic item retrieva,l sometimes materialistic goods." Her face changes quick in a harsher look when talking about paths. "Yeah, more people share that thought. A young person to be molded in a path they want. I'll find my own." A hint of disgust is seen but quickly fades again. Taking a long drink she sighs and her face goed neutral with a small smile. "Time is...... to confusing. I know i am in Randal which is Vulsara so here its a... 60 to 1 ratio. I can sort of work from there but when the comparison starts with other shadow i'm not even trying." Holding ip her glass she nods. "I will let Dwyn know, she is with Satura now mostly. But i'm sure by now i can talk her into going out and about a bit. Perhaps she and i will run away together again."

"Forgive me if I offended you, it was not my intent. I was not trying to guide you onto a path of my choosing, I was merely trying to show you the paths that I might be able to offer, and offer guidance to a new Amberite. I recall what it was like not knowing things and not knowing whom I could turn to. And I would hope that you would make your own informed choices and not let others make them for you."

Alvah shrugs leaning back. "Heard it just to many times in my short time in contact with the family, everybody seems to have a plan for everyone. Though i must admit plenty are open about it." A wide grin appears. "Informed sure. But i usually go by gut feeling and sense of adventure. We'll see how that goes." Tipping her beaker towards Realmer. "So did you do Rasak by choice? Or were there matters pushing you that way? Just curiosity... don't answer if you don't want to." She adds with a bit of a grin.

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"I understand gut feelings and a sense of adventure... I was a professional Adventurer for many years before coming to Amber; again a story for another time. Enjoy the sense of freedom it brings and the experiences it brings you." "And I don't mind answering. I volunteered to attend Rasak of my own choice. And not a 'Rasak or the Dungeons' choice. There is a story and a reason behind it, a story for another day, but the gist of it is: I had heard of Benedict's Training Course and decided to attend, got permission from King Random and Benedict and then that very day, I was on Rasak. I knew the knowledge and skills would be useful, in the long run for sure. Plus it gave me a whole network of contacts with warriors, soldiers and leaders from across Shadow; those I attended with, to perhaps call upon when needed."

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah nods slowly. "good to know, heard that people are sometimes less volunteering and more convinced it might be better for them. Then there is that darn compusion ring thing." As she says that she holds up her hand her thumb carressing where that ring had been. "Anyway things are done. and i must admit the skills and experiences are useful. But yeah when you agree with going, you are there the same day." Swirling her drink in her beaker she then smiles. "so do you still have that white little dog?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"Yes, I still have the little wooly puffed land piranha, though not with me at this time; I left him in Flora's care before I left for Rasak, the only person besides me he likes. I have been a bit too busy to contact her and reclaim my little monster... and didn't really have a place yet either... but now.... ...... perhaps I should make a Trump call soon. And how do you know about my little white dog?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah smiles. "Oh i'm sure if he is in Flora her care that he would be perfectly fine and pampered. The castle of Amber is slowly turning into a zoo, before you know it the animals reign the kingdom.” A soft chuckles escapes her then with a to much of an innocent look she shrugs. "oh how i know, well, stories. About loyalty, devotion, blood and heartache." A playful smile and twinkle in her eyes appear. "Heard how you helped someone, who had her heart removed and turned to a diamond. Who was nearly dead. You know how it goes with stories right?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer has a twinkle in his eyes now as well, and smile on his too. He chuckles and nods his head. "Yes, I do know how it goes with stories; all too well. And depending upon whom is telling them, will determine the amount of truth and the overall perspective and tone of the said story. Yes, the story is true; or at least what you have just said I will confirm." He pauses a moment to think. "I know Dwyn was not present, but Arlo was. Bleys as well. I know you have had interactions with both by our conversation. And there is also the woman I saved... and you are in Vulsara... hmmm. Ok, I'll bite: who told you this story and why do you think they told it to you?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah laughs. "Oh the answer who told me the story is easy enough, Realmer." She sways her fingers playfully in the air. "I am daughter of Delwin, my brother is Vance. He is also very keen on me learning all that i can. So Admiral Celakat and Vance told me about the dog the lady and showed me the particular heart. Had me even watch the particular piece of the past where it happened in the life of the victim." She then holds up her finger and grins. "Now the part to why, several reasons. And with your intelligence and deducing abilities, can you figure out why, they would tell me such a story, of a heart being ripped out by a single cut. Turned by this certain action to a diamond heart of somewhat power." Taking a slow long drink she smiles a playful grin.

"It would not be to warn me that it would happen in Amber again, no? Azcalan priests have not been seen there for a while now." Tipping her beaker towards Realmer she gives him a challenging look "what do you think?"

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer looks slightly irritated. "I have never been fond of guessing games, even when I am playing a guessing game. And I especially don't like the 'see if you can guess' or 'see if you can figure it out' game. But I will play along this time." "My guess would be that you are going to Azcala. They showed you and told you what they did either because they wanted you to be wary while there, or to investigate something while there. Another guess would be because you are investigating Hagalta. He had dealings with Azcala and the Azcalans and has also had the ritual performed on him. I know this because I have seen his crystal heart." "And now that I have made my guesses, will you please tell me the actual reason. Or what you believe to be the reason or the reason that they told you."

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah grins clearly enjoying this and maybe even the irritation. The playful sparkle still in her eyes and a grin resting on her face she slowly drinks. Concidering, thinking. Then after a moment she shakes her head.

"Eh some things are close some are turned around." She sits straight up and leans forward again looking straight at Realmer with her two coloured eyes. With her free hand she holds up a finger. "Yes i will tell you the reasons. though i am concidering if i first want to ask you something else. But that would not be according to ettiquette would it. It is usually a question and an answer, right." She laughs and keeps staring at Realmer. "Alright what people are warning me about is indeed what they can do in Azcala, the priests. What can happen if you have such a heart made of yourself. Although you do not do that usually freely. There are only a few who actually enjoy that. It is the fact that they need me to know what it can mean and what kind of power it holds."

Her grin seems a bit wilder she then continues after a drink. "Okey i will tell you cause you have been so nicely playing along with my questions and i think this news is spread already far and wide anyway. My mothers side of the family is Azcalan. i am actually a granddaughter of Tonacat. Not that i ever met him." She leans back giving herself a moment to study a reaction if there is any "And why i was questioning Hagalta was because he had so many hearts taken from him. I needed to know how he got in, got out and what they did to him. He was so kind to tell me. for a price of course." Alvah shrugs. "So now you know."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

"A granddaughter of Tonocat, interesting." The expression on Realmer's face shows interest, but not surprise.

"I was wondering if, or when, our little Royal Family would have a family tie to Azcala and the Azcalan Royal Family. Now it seems we do. He chuckles and takes a swallow of his brandy then continues. "Seems our Royal Family is branching out all over the place. We have always had ties to the Court of Chaos, from the Barimen line of Dworkin, of course, but also through the line of Benedict. If you would like a short history lesson and a lesson on Chaos / Amber genealogy, ask Vek about his bloodline." A slight smile crosses his lips. "We also have family ties to the Royal Families of Tosa and York, Adagalasck obviously, possibly Regor, and the Fey of Arden. Plus Mandalay and Avalon. It seems that the Royal Family of Amber is far more virile and fertile than old Oberon ever thought." Realmer chuckles again. "So, which daughter of Tonocat is your mother? And what is the other question you wanted to ask me?"

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah looks carefully at the reaction of Realmer and seems almost to relax a bit seeing he takes it up pretty well. A slight shrug shows. "It is not strange thought it was not really intentional and it does come with certain risks. Hence i had a talk with your father Hagalta. Tonacat.... is a bit... well he got his panties up in a bunch that is clear." Inclining her head she smiles. "oh yes i have heard of the family ties there. It is how i spend a lot of time in Amber, Sitting and listening to well mostly Arlo. Only half a question i have to ask and he can talk on and on and i only have to sit, listen and learn. About Tosa and York. I think i only know one from there. And i can sort of can call him my uncle.. but not from blood. " She smiles thinking of their recent reacquaintance.

Alvah looks at Realmer for a moment and then shakes her head. "My mother her name i will not say yet, first i have plans to meet her myself. face to face. well not alone of course i do not have a deathwish or a wish to lose yet another heart. But i will tell you when i we will see each other again and i have met her and talked to her."

She taps her drink with her finger and then shrugs slightly. "I was mostly wondering what your stance was towards Azcala, the people, the priests, and the royal family."

*'''Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.'''

Realmer sighs. "My view of Azcala and the Azcalan people is complicated... and would require a deep conversation in and of itself... and that conversation will be reserved for another time."

Realmer sits up straight and focuses on Alvah, looking into her eyes. "And speaking of time, ours has come to an end. Though I have enjoyed this surprise and impromptu conversation, there are many matters which require my attention and I must be getting back to them." "Once you have completed more of your studies and more training, and after you have visited Azcala and have learned what you can, feel free to contact me again or even just come visit me at the Tower of the Southwind in Adagalasck." Realmer stands and smiles. "Lady Alvah, daughter of Delwin, once again, Well Met. And I wish unto you Good Hunting and Safe Travels." Realmer bows respectfully to Alvah.

*'''Amber Bronkhorst'''

Alvah herself stands up as well as a like wise gesture and bows her head out of respect as well. "Thank you for your time Sir , it was truly an interesting and educational conversation, i do hope we will talk to each other soon again. But i am sure that will happen in the future." She smiles looking up. "good luck to you and yours." Waving her hand over the trump she breaks the contact.
