| − | Xyra is an awe inspiring bastion of learning, philosophy, and magic. Started in 98 CA by a cabal of arcane casters led by Estrano Fiarius, the city is situated very near the trade routes between southern and northern Antanides so that supplies could be readily available but is remote enough to be defensible from any powers that seek to interfere with the goings on of the city. The city is set up as an oligarchy that is nominally republic in function, with those practicing the arcane arts in charge, and numerous lesser educated citizens to fill roles like soldiers, smiths, etc. Despite this, education is encouraged regardless of profession or station and many people born to parents of one station can quickly rise to another, as no one is restricted based on family or background.
