The Dark Woods as a project started around 1994 by the team of developers now known as the Game Arts Guild.  That original The Dark Woods project spun off a side project now known as the Squawk Role-Playing Game.  Now that the Squawk RPG is complete, it's time to go back and finish the original The Dark Woods.

All of The Dark Woods must be licensed for the Creative Commons Attribution Share-alike license.  This goes for everything, be it art, rules, written content, etc.

This version of The Dark Woods will use the Scratch Role-Playing System for its core RPG rules that are not unique to The Dark Woods specifically.
