Ollandah was born to _____ and _____. Her mother was the sister of Denzel's father, making them cousins- however, although they were both aware of this relation in abstract they had rarely met before meeting in the Dream World. 

Ollandah's early life was one obsessed with what she could be. Her parents were both cold and distant- due to her lifestyle, Zackary was the only person who displayed both niceness and a moral backbone in her life. Most of her time was spent reading fantasy novels in which child protagonists played a major part, perhaps explaining her later decisions.

Ollandah is, for a child, both adventerous and courageous- having broken out of the Dream World due partially to her desire to be with Zackary and partially to be a hero like him, she often ventures into the front lines even though she isn't any use in the hope of achieving something.

Although too young to have an actual crush, Ollandah clearly hero-worships Zackary due to their experiences together. She sees him as the sort of hero she hopes to one day become. Zackary's encouragement not to do what she does is the only thing which actually holds her back.
