Wanala grew up on the streets after her mother abandoned her father. Her father left her mostly alone, whether because he was drinking, or begging money for a drink. The only thing she had from her mother was a lute. Why her father never sold it, she doesn't know, but she started picking out music from it, and left him behind as soon as she could. With her native talents in dance and singing, she paid for lessons and new strings as she could. Though she sometimes resorted to begging and scams, as well, she tried to avoid both. When she couldn't avoid it, she had to deal with the Black Hand, and while not a commonly seen member, she remains tied to them.

Known Agenda: Wanala is constantly on the lookout for books of magic and sorcery. Not so much books of spells, as books about magic and sorcery - history, philosophy, myths & legends.
