==An Evening at the Ball== I love Chiaroscuro. There's always something new! I love the constant movement of goods and money: Today Kestrel, Diamond, and I prepared to besiege a fleet of sandships. This shall provide us with three great boons; the first, a set of sandships, the second, a group of newly liberated friends, and finally, a chance to stick a jab to Savadh's purse. I would also be amiss if I did not confess a hope to stir up some interest among the brigands of the city in joining the Skulk. We also had the chance to meet up with a sand raider by the name of Firedust Hazaad. While a capable bargainer, he settled for less than fitting. To be honest, I did not expect him to take on the job. Judging from his comrade, I don't think she expected him to, either. One would be suspect that he may be planning to betray us, but it smacks untrue to my mind. He has the Delzahn spirit about him. I think his goals are greater than his vocation would allow. How I do love a dose of irony in a tale. I love the coming and going of new people: News came quick of the Djala circus outside of town, and the presence of Whistler amongst them. For the short time I spent with the man, he seems a fair sort. I have never been much for wetwork myself, and to see a renowned assassin choose to conclude his career pleases me greatly. The only way to whet an appetite for blood is to choose to abstain. Whistler seems to have set up the circus as a guise for the movement of liberated slaves. This fact may become very useful in the near future, given our intended mark. Also, the recent days have brought a band from the Wyld Hunt, including Diamond's brother. They seem to be quite intent on their pursuit of dear Diamond. Though it is the Southern way to show hospitality to outsiders, I fear this bunch may have outlasted their welcome before they arrived. It is a fool that follows such a prey into its lair. Though, I am concerned for how Diamond will handle this news. I love how quickly things can change: Perhaps nothing was intended by the dragon of Realm troops that arrived earlier today. Just the same, news and emotions run quick in the lands of Fire. Many parts are to be played in this grande number, and many pieces to be moved. I shall be interested to see how the rest unfolds.
