Appearance and Demeanor: Barsheeba Valens has brown skin, shoulder-length straight black hair and brown eyes. She tends to always hold herself stiff and straight, still a model of military discipline, even after revolting against the Empire. If anything, she is more rigid in her bearing now. She tends to always be serious, interacting with others in a crisp, direct (but not disrespectful) fashion, and rarely relaxes.

o	Favor (5): Valens owes Ortega Jailo her life. A friend of her family with influence in the Empire, he saved her life after the unsuccessful coup she took part in was put down. He managed to save her from being executed outright, getting her sentence commuted to slavery. Valens is very conscious that she owes Jailo and is willing to help him, despite his continued loyalty to the Empire.<br>
o	Oath (5): Valens took an oath with the other junior officers who participated in the failed coup with her not to rest until the Empire is overthrown and the Republic restored. Most of those who took the oath with her are now dead, but that doesn’t matter to Valens--if anything, it makes it even more important to her to uphold the oath in honor of their memory.<br>
