== Aspects == The Aspects of players determine the nature of the game which they are going to play, and underscore the fundamental elements of the universe of the Medium. Principal Entropy II denoted eight major Aspects, but at least one extra has been uncovered, and more may exist. === Space === ex: Mark Tyler (Bard), Matt Ritter (Seer) The aspect of Creation and Distance. Space players may ultimately be responsible for creating assets to survive the session. Frog breeding is apparently of high importance. Space opposes Time. === Time === ex: Amber Mack (Sylph) Time is the Aspect relating to inevitability, entropy (of the cosmic force, not the person) and continuity. In its positive aspect, it ensures success; in its negative aspect, it is nearly impossible to oppose as an agent of certainty. Time players are meant to guide a session through the hundreds of potential paradoxes created by a universe that exists in a seperate timeline, and to make sure that the optimal timeline is the one that results. A significant enough failure on the part of a Time player can result in the literal end of the universe, making it a difficult Aspect to manage. Time players are thus generally cautious about what they will and will not change; no one wants to accidentally end reality, after all. Time acts in opposition to Space, serving as the counterbalance to Space's endless creative forces, and defining one half of a traditional universe. It is often tied heavily to the Horrorterrors, although they exist outside of Time and Space as it is traditionally defined. === Light === ex: Entropy II (Prince), Lilith Ivanov (Knight) The aspect of Fortune and Knowledge. Light players act on information and provide fortunate outcomes to their teams. Light opposes Doom. === Doom === ex: Anya Drago (Thief), Ayumu Mori (Heir) The aspect of Destiny and Destruction. Doom players must ward off dark fates and protect their teams from the elements that they are unleashing against the enemy. Doom opposes Light. === Hope === ex: Samuel Lin (Page), Lily Watanabe (Witch) The aspect of Possibility and Change. Hope players responsible for finding unorthodox solutions to problems and preventing their team from succumbing to despair. Strong correlations exist between Hope and both science and procedural Magic. Hope players tend to have oddities on their Worlds that do not match standard SBURB procedures, such as additional Consort types, semi-active Denizens, etc. Hope opposes Rage. === Rage === ex: Felicia Wu (Rogue), Riley McArthur (Maid) The aspect of Certainty and Emotion. Rage players harness their powers to fight the enemies of the players, or use them to drive enemies to madness. Exact outcome varies greatly by class. Rage opposes Hope. === Heart === ex: ??? An Aspect of Identity and Self-Awareness. Either extremely helpful, or extremely dangerous, depending on nature of self-identity. This Aspect is not currently present in Sessions A or B; not sure why Entropy I discussed it. Heart opposes Mind. === Mind === ex: ??? An Aspect of Choice and Action. Drives players to act more quickly and certainly, and to avoid excessive self-reflection. This Aspect is not currently present in Sessions A or B; not sure why Entropy I discussed it. Mind opposes Heart. === Void === ex: Fitzwilliam Gerald (Mage) Principal Entropy I did not elaborate on this Aspect. It appears to cover nonbeing and obfuscation, and provides access to potentially game-winning or game-breaking glitches. In Session B, Void has replaced Time as the opposite of Space; Absence opposing Creation.
