===Background=== Robert is a young 22 year old. He just recently graduated with a BA in Pre Law but completely and utterly failed to get accepted into Law School. He couldn't bear to face the shame of admitting to his parents he failed. ESPECIALLY not HIS parents. They were the strictest most conservative sort, and his father was a military officer, he was already incredibly angry/disappointed that Robert didn't go to West Point like he wanted, afterall he did so well in the ROTC, but Robert's mother managed to convince him that being a Lawyer was just fine because then he would be rich, and that was what was important right? Roberts father eventually agreed, and flat out told him that he was expected to come back with an Esquire to his name. But Robert finally free from his parents had fun in college. Dicked around (in both meanings of the word), experimented with drugs. He passed his classes, but his grades weren't stellar. Robert's father mailed him a check with a note that this was the last money he was receiving. It was money for law school, but Robert was not accepted to any. Despairing and in a fit of drunken pique he cashed the entire thing and went to a Casino boat on the Chicago great lakes. He bet it all on black. Time seemed to slow and the sides of the dice bounced and bounced and on each side of the dice he saw what he COULD have been. But on ONE side he saw what he WANTED to be, and he KNEW just this once he could decide which way the dice fell for him. He decided to let it fall on red, and lost everything, but gained so much more.....
