Rutger Goering was only 12 years old when he was forcibly extracted from an Ubermensche training camp, and brought to the USA. When he was 17 he was “activated” for the USA, and passed off as a product of the US Super-soldier program (as “Blue Eagle”), having been extensively “reprogrammed”.
Unfortunately, shifting loyalty seems to have become part of his ideology, as in 1948 he fled the United States, with intelligence suggesting that he now calls himself “Red Eagle”, and has likely defected to a communist employer. He seems sincere in his new ideology, but then he always seems sincere. In truth Rutger/Rick has real difficulties with self-identity, and is desperate to find a belief system he can stick with and truly take to heart.
