=Character Details= ==Bio== Granite Dragon grew up in Gethamane, where the staple of their diet is mushrooms. He hates mushrooms. Growing up on a diet of them, he learned certain tricks to disguise the flavor and texture so as to choke it down. Gradually, he warmed to using those tricks for others, and eventually made his vocation that of professional chef. One day, well into his middle years, one of his apprentices mouthed off to him. "You use too many spices and disguises, old man! You could not make a simple mushroom taste good enough for a king without ten sauces and accompanying wine selection." Granite Dragon's eyes narrowed as he considered the upstart. Finally, he nodded. "Take these messages to the ranking officials of the city. If you are to challenge me thusly, we shall get the grandest judges available to us." Inside, he worried, for the apprentice was not only correct, but extremely talented in his reactionary style of cooking. His resolve slowly firmed. He WOULD NOT be shown up by an upstart who had barely completed his first two years of learning! Of that night, many tales are told. Of the 'Feast of Mushroom and the Foolish Wager', of 'The Apprentice's Folly', of 'The Master's Sacrifice'. That night, in the cold and snow outside Gethamane, a bloom of noon shines at midnight, and the smell of cinnamon wafts through the cold and dark recesses of Marama's Fell. '''First Age Bio:''' The Hall resounded with the sound of fighting. Solar fought Dragonblooded brothers, until finally a piercing cry momentarily paused the battle. "Who has done this?!?!?!" All eyes are drawn to the slim man in cloth of orichalcum and samite who looked at the dishes lying trodden and spoiled on the floor, managing to combine distraught and apoplectic all at once. Almost simultaneously, every Solar in the room immediately points at the closest Dragonblooded or Lunar intent on killing him. With a wordless cry of inarticulate rage, he grabs a massive meat cleaver out of a nearby carving station and charges the nearest offender. Every other Solar in the Hall reflects, even as they fight for their lives, that as bad as the situation had become, at least the newcomers hadn't insulted his cooking... ==Appearance== Granite Dragon is rather short for an Exalt. Certainly, there are taller, stronger, and faster, but few look as solid as this man does, as though he were hewn of his namesake, not born. His brown hair is always tied back in a ponytail, and his green eyes can either sparkle like emeralds with laughter or harden into green jade with anger. He usually wears an easy smile, as though life itself is an entertainment that only he is paying attention to. ==Motivation== To craft a banquet so exquisite that the Incarnae themselves come to dine. ==Intimacies== Cooking (Love, Joy)
Fighting (loathes)
Circlemates (friendship tinged with exasperation) ==Personality== Granite Dragon takes his duty seriously. VERY seriously. Anyone who insults his cooking and cannot prove better are beaten either in the kitchen or the street. However, when his honor is not at stake, he is a genial sort. In his spare time, he enjoys wandering bazaars and the like, always with an eye open for his next ingredient to discover and use. His laugh is infectious and surprising for a man of his size.
