=Background= In the avian district of Noctis, there's a small, dusty antiques shop. It doesn't have much of a mesh profile, but among the tight-knit community of serious relic collectors and auction houses, it's quite well known. Every once in a while, an object that was thought to have been lost forever is quietly added to it's inventory. It's proprietor, Havrin, is rarely physically present. He recovers the most valuable relics himself from ruined habitats and derelict hulks, a skill he picked up from a past life that he doesn't often talk about. It's dangerous work, but he's earned a reputation as one the best. More then once, a hypercorp has offered him a generous contract, which Havrin always reflexively refuses. He bears the hypercorps no grudge, but his experiences have left him deeply cynical; he'd scoff at the notion that a hypercorp could be anything other then basically sociopathic. For the past several years, Havrin's had an off and on romance with another corvid scavenger named Tessa. They met at a ruined luxury resort, and every time they've crossed paths since has been a flare of passion. His social life apart from her consists of a few antiquarian acquaintances and the young neo-parrot he employs at his shop. His reputation scores are somewhat lower then they could be, and he's been intending for some time to hire a professional social assistant. When he manages to track down ancient books, Havrin often keeps them for himself. There's something he's trying to figure out about old books; reading a work created by a species he still finds mysterious, from a time when his ancestors were still animals, he catches glimpses of a philosophical or artistic notion he can't quite place; Like many neo-avians, Havrin isn't comfortable unless he's endlessly searching for something. ==Recruitment to Firewall== Havrin once participated in a particularly large and well-funded expedition to recover a cultural time capsule buried outside Paris. Avoiding the Interdiction with a few (rumored) high-level bribes, the expedition set down in the ruined city's suburbs, erected an extensive base camp, and sent out scouting parties. Havrin was assigned to one such party. Several hours into the reconnaissance, his team lost all contact with the base camp, and then, one by one, the other scouts. Wisely, they immediately went to ground and started improvising defenses. Several weeks later, a search-and-rescue mission found them holed up in on old bunker with a clever makeshift cornucopia machine and a number of valuable relics. No trace of the rest of the expedition was ever discovered. The entire team was recruited by Firewall as soon as they got out of security quarantine. Havrin still has nightmares.
