=Petr Polnyev= * 2nd level Enchanter * XP: 3520 * CPs: 1 * human, 5'6", 170#, age 30 * olive skin, brown eyes, black hair [[File:HM%20Petr.png|thumb|alt=Petr Polnyev|Petr Polnyev, blacksmith and enchanter]] ==History== Petr is the son of Bors Polnyev, a weaponsmith and former warrior who sailed from distant, war-torn lands to settle in Furyondy and raise his family in a more peaceful setting. Petr inherited his father's build as well as his trade, but a chance encounter with a half-elven fighter/mage who needed his magical blade repaired left him obsessed with magic. The deck was stacked against him, for his father absolutely required him to continue his apprenticeship, but he worked long days and studied late into the night, and achieved his dream of understanding magic. ==Description== A bear of a man wearing a heavy leather apron and a cotton duck tunic and breeches, Petr looks nothing like a mage. His clothing is stained with soot and burned, and burn scars decorate his thick arms beyond his rolled-up sleeves. Kindly eyes, almost black, peer out from under heavy eyebrows; a thick, unkempt mane of wiry black hair frames his face; a heavy black beard completes the frame. The myriad pockets and loops of his blacksmith's utility belt have been repurposed for storing spell components, except for the hammer which still hangs at his hip. As he was raised in Furyondy, he is fluent in the local language and customs as well as those of his parents' land.
