*History & Personality: Philocrates has lived the life of a vagabond for decades, a long time for a human.  He likes to give an air of having seen it all, which is consistent with his absolutely genuine cynicism.  He possesses no particular virtues but neither does he have any particularly repugnant vices. He has attempted on a number of occasions to quit his adventuring lifestyle and settle down into some other profession, but it has always gone drastically wrong.  He has a sense that he has wasted his life, but knows no other.
*Description: Philocrates is a grizzled man who looks older than he is.  He is wiry and long-limbed, with a permanently sour expression.  His clothes are serviceable or even well-made, but always somehow give the impression of being slightly tattered and worn.
