I plan to post regularly and I expect players to do the same. No strict deadlines, but don't apply if you can't commit. I won't hesitate to drop people if they neglect the game (without good reason).
Sounds harsh? Yeah. If one person slacks off, it affects everyone else's fun. I'm also putting a lot of work into this game so I'm pretty invested.
I'm actually pretty easygoing. If you have a reason that you can't play, that's no problem. I'm not going to kick you out because a family member died or anything. Just stay in contact with me, let me know what's going on and we can work something out.

The game will probably be 60/40 on roleplaying/combat, though that can change depending on player preferences. I expect players to have strong, well-developed characters. "I attack again, I do 12 damage" won't cut it.

I'm going to take four players based on the strength of their character submission. I may eventually allow an extra player into the game at a later date. There may also be room for replacements.
