===Defining The Kessler Field===
A machine created to protect a large mass, specifically spacecraft, from radiation and other dangerous forms of energy. The Kessler field protects the ship from the intense heat and dangerous radiation of light drive travel--without it the ship and everyone on it would be vaporized immediately. It also protects the ship from strong, harmful radiation from solar winds and proto-gamma rays. If the crew does not have a working Kessler field nor the power and resources to maintain it over the long 'sleep' in deconstitution, using the BTL Drive is tantamount to suicide. Like the BTL, the Kessler field is one of the many important onboard systems that needs to be maintained.
