==Background==

Tor belongs to the Arl clan, who quietly claim direct descent from the Arrowsmith dynasty.  Two clan members are Lhankor Mhy scholars and rumors across Manside suggest they are building their case to claim their right to rule Pavis once the Lunars have gone.  

They have a fortified manor near Kakstan's Art Museum, although some of them also live in New Pavis.  Tor is one of those, he lives with his wives Mira Nemm and Alara Bon he has three sons and two daughters who all share a small apartment in the Farmers Market his wives both work as seamstress's for Brygga Scissortongue.

Eight years ago Tor moved into New Pavis after his home was destroyed in a fight between a Rubble gang and the Pavis Royal Guard, Tor blames the Pavis Royal Guard for the destruction of his home which saw him become a mercenary for several years before finding his place with the watch.
