==== Background: ==== Like all of the Moritat death-cult, the assassin now known only as Trauma was born in violence and tragedy. Her parents ran a small food stall amidst the giant munition factorums of Gunmetal City on Scintilla, until they were cut down during one of the all-too-typical firefights between the hyper-violent gangers. Of the day's specifics, Trauma remembers little. The two gangs had mostly killed each other, though one had noticed her cowering behind the stall's frier, and pointed a hand cannon at her. All she remembers is staring up into the double-barrelled gaping void... and then there was a click. The gun thug scowled at his weapon and started swearing, and seized by a sudden impulse and grabbed one of her father's pairing knife. The girl stabbed the blade into the ganger and kept pushing until her arms gave out. "You've learned your first lesson," a deep voice said, coming from a man who seemed to tower over the scene, flicking blood from his slim blade before it vanished under his cloak. The rest of the hive scum laid at his feet. "Guns jam. They can fail your God-Emperor. A blade never will." The young girl was taken deep, deep into the under-hive, the training facility (or perhaps lair) of the Moritat on Scintilla. It turned out that Trauma (as was her name now - the Moritat leave their old names behind) proved something of a prodigy at the unique arts of the Moritat, where she learned to turn any edged weapon into a physical prayer to the Him on Terra. When Inquisitor Kaede asked for her mentor's most promising 'graduate,' Trauma's name was the first on his list.
