== The Art of Ill Ease == Ill Ease produces discomfort or distraction others. The exact phenomena mediating these distractions is up to the caster (microbial illness, anxiety, mild hallucinations, enhanced qualities or imperfections, vertigo, seizures, vomiting, fatigue, etc.). '''Attribute:''' Wits === * Cumbersome === The target is determined by the Realm. The number of successes indicates a penalty taken by others in dealing with the target. Some processes involving the target which don't normally require a roll now require one (ie. using a Cumbersome tool will be less effective, trying to get information out of a Cumbersome friend is a time consuming process, walking along a Cumbersome road will be more difficult). Actions initiated by the target do not have a penalty, only interactions initiated by others. This curse lasts 1 hour. '''Type:''' Chimeral === ** Nausea === Induces a feeling of extreme discomfort and bad equilibrium in the target. This power tends to effect living or self motivated targets most obviously. All the targets intentional activities take a penalty equal to the number of successes gained on the original casting. This curse lasts 1 scene. '''Type:''' Chimeral === *** Noxious Presence === Something about the target is just not right. Looking at the target induces the Nausea effect in others who observe the target. The effect of nausea on others lasts only as long as the noxious individual is being observed and for one round afterward. However enemies with Noxious Appearance become difficult to fight if they can not be looked at, and when cast using the Scene Realm the noxious target becomes hard to ignore. This effect on the target lasts up to 1 day as dictated by the caster. '''Type:''' Chimeral === **** Mesmerize === Causes observers of the target to find it endlessly fascinating and stand around or follow the target to stare at it for hours. The caster may describe what about the target they find so captivating or intriguing. Obvious physical pain will temporarily snap the mesmerized persons out of their state, but only actual pain, not simply the threat of injury, and after the discomfort is dealt with the subjects will again seek to view the object of the mesmerizing target. Each round observers may make a Willpower check to shrug off the effect. After the first attempt each additional try consumes a point of temporary Willpower. The difficulty of the check is 6+ the number of successes gained in the original casting. Those who gain three successes can no longer be fascinated by this casting of the cantrip but may succumb to other castings at a later time. The duration of the Mesmerizing state on the initial target is dictated by the number of successes gained in the casting: '''1''' - a Scene '''2''' - 3 hours '''3''' - a day '''4''' - a week '''5''' - a month '''Type:''' Chimeral === ***** Contort === Causes the target to contort to the limit's of it's natural ability. In natural creatures this could appear to be due to a seizure of some sort. The number of successes gained indicates the number of rounds the effect lasts. Targets affected by this cantrip are paralyzed and automatically take 1 lethal damage per round for the cantrip's duration. Immediately afterward conscious targets will feel dazed and exhausted for another round, taking a +2 penalty on any physical actions.
