Zenobaal was, at one time, a powerful and dangerous dragon who had left the chamber under the pretense of madness. Although he had SOME support it was quite apparent his study of the prophecy was too much for him. Zenobaal is under the delusion that he is the incarnation of the Prophecy and as such the only true "god" that is allowed to exist. Because of that he is an enormously powerful Divine Spark as well as a threat to dragonmarked everywhere.

Zenobaal's status as a ghost dragon is somewhat unknown as to why. He is not dead, as the watchers of Chronopyise have discovered but he is caught in some incorporeal state for reasons nobody can understand.

The only thing humankind knows about him is pretty much nothing. This is unless you discount his unusual relationship with [[Varash Sverrgrit]].
