== Background == Zia is Scintillan, from the lower reaches of Hive Tarsus and was born into an Arbites family so her early years in the Arbites were spent quelling food riots and pushing back abhuman incursions before her precinct was finally abandoned to the underhive. Her parents were lost in the rearguard action that led up to this. Before the Arbites could reassign her elsewhere the Inquisition picked her up - people with no emotional ties and a strong hatred of mutants and other scum hold a certain attraction to the inquisition. Highlights of her career include accidentally shooting one of her cadre for cowardice (was supposed to be a warning shot but I rolled a critical fumble and the GM ruled the bullet hit), surviving a daemon encounter (by running and then telling the naval vessel who brought her to nuke the site from orbit) and masquerading as a commissar to 'borrow' an Imperial Guard unit (she kept the hat for reasons best left unsaid for now). She also had an unlikely romantic entanglement with the Cadian guardsman in her cell. Unlikely as his taste was more for women who can bench press artillery shells and hers was more for men who use a knife and fork to eat. He did like it when she wore the Commissar's hat though. She was eventually put out to grass in a high ranking Arbites position on a planet I don't remember the name of where the entire Arbites presence had been wiped out by an uprising and so needed replacement. Of course one never retires from the Inquisition so a newly minted Inquisitor browsing the Ordo Hereticus files may just find her name on the inactive list. Appearance wise she is petite, unthreatening and quite attractive, though somehow years of scrubbing still hasn't quite removed the grime of lower Hive Tarsus from her skin (Quirk: Grimy skin). However when she wants to look threatening she finds a suit of carapace armour and a power maul help overcome her less than intimidating apperance. Her weapons and armour are worn from years of use, in fact they were worn long before Zia got hold of them. "From my cold dead fingers" are five words you should never say to Zia when pointing a shiny weapon at her. She will take you up on the offer. The carapace armour was clearly not original arbites issue, as the arbites colours of black and red have only been painted on. Various scratches show the previous colours the armour has been thoughout it's history... Inquisitorial black, Cadian green, the dark blue of some planet's PDF Her view broadly aligns with our illustrious inquisitor though over the years she has come to accept that sanctioned psykers are inordinately useful, and grudgingly accepts that sometimes you need to make a deal with criminals not just shoot them in the head.
