Under her lab coat are jeans and t-shirts with extremely chunky (but extremely comfortable) tennis shoes although Xiu is more than capable of looking 'respectable' if the situation calls for it. Students taking her outfit to mean she's laid back when it comes to the expected work ethic in their studies or in the lab or - [Your god here] help them - safety do so at their peril. A very long time ago Xiu grew irritated by having to pin long hair back and now keeps it in a simple short cut. She's average height, bordering on short, with a lean build as one of her favorite hobbies is exercise, particularly running. (Some of Xiu's best ideas have come with the runner's high.)<br/>
'''Background:''' Dr. Xiu Long (she reflexively corrects the pronunciation, even if it was accurate the first time) is the head of the prestigious toxicology research lab in the local university, one students hoping to get their degrees in the field come from across the country apply to with the hopes of working with her as part of its undergraduate program. Nearly dying of a snakebite at a young age in her native Hong Kong, Xiu became fascinated by the idea of what just a few drops of a substance could do to a human which expanded beyond snake venom to toxins of all kinds (though naturally their venom remained an interest). On the day Xiu received her toxicology degree and was congratulated by her parents and siblings a strange older man also congratulated her, telling her she had great work ahead of her and gave her a very special gift: divinity.
