==History & Heroic Origin==

The son of a jet-setting executive and a respected archaeologist, Duncan saw each of the seven continents before his seventh birthday.  While not technically divorced, the natures of their professions often left his parents thousands of miles away from each other, and Duncan spent much of his early childhood in transit.


During a year-long dig on a tiny island in the Indonesian archipelago, eight-year-old Duncan befriended several warriors from the island's indigenous Gulang-gulang tribe.  They taught him to wield their versatile and deadly signature weapon: a heavy stone disc on a length of hide string.  He fell in love with it immediately, and set out to master its intricate, whirling attack patterns.  They called it a "Pelang-jat", but Duncan has always referred to it by its common name: the yo-yo.  Over the next ten years, Duncan blended his Pelang-jat training with techniques from half a dozen different martial arts, learned from instructors in a dozen different countries.


When he turned eighteen, Duncan's parents decided that he was going to begin receiving a formal education, and enrolled him at FCU.  His mother has pushed him towards a corporate career, while his father has made little secret of his desire to see Duncan take up archaeology.  


After a few years in Freedom City, Duncan has decided that costumed heroics sound like a pretty neat idea...
