==Background== ===Urchin=== :'''Feature:''' City Secrets ---- ---- :'''Trait:''' I see things as they are rather than as they pretend to be. ---- :'''Ideal:''' It doesn't matter what you do, so long as you do it well. ---- :'''Bond:''' Fight for what's important. The rest can take care of itself. ---- :'''Flaw:''' I hold a strong belief that some folk would be better folk if they were statues. ---- ---- ===Backstory=== Kali grew up an anonymous orphan on nameless city streets, human in appearance except for the snakes that grew from her head. She quickly learned to keep them covered to avoid the inevitable fear response from any who saw them. She also learned to fight, because fear responses were often accompanied by sudden panicked violence. She tried to use her magic gaze to petrify would-be attackers, but she had a defect or weakness, and it never worked. So she fought, and the more she fought, the more often she won. Kali was an adult before she learned of the Yuan-Ti and realized she was not, in fact, a discarded Gorgon with broken gaze powers, but part of a complex and varied people with serpentine kinship. The Yuan-Ti did not welcome her as a lost scion, forcing her to prove her worth at every turn, but she was no stranger to fighting for what she wanted. She learned the weapons and fighting styles of her people and despite having the build and appearance of a spy caste foundling, she became a champion among the warrior caste.
