Starshine has her ups and downs. The world doesn't know her true origin, and has always assumed the worst about her. When her first attempt at heroics failed, the media printed that she had killed the previous Starshine and took his powers. Unfortunately, this has had long term repercussions on her heroic career as people think whoever kills her gains her powers. Thankfully, the rumor has mostly dried up in the past year as she has taken out most who would try to take her title.

Otherwise, the media either praises her or cries out for justice against her, depending on how she has acted and who she has acted against. She is prone to small fits of rage, and has at least once caused a public spectacle that got her mentioned on the front page. She is much more of a vigilante than the past Starshines, which means the cops generally don't come calling for her help unless they are desperate.
