As the Avengers arrived three days later it was learned that "Stone-Apes" (as Wasp called them) were continuing to slowly move across the country-side seemingly from out of the whole in "[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_ship stone ship]" patterns - which appeared to advance their "ground" of ultra-heated ground and into the (now) boiling channel.
