===Miyoji=== Miyoji is a young mortal man of Lookshy, barely fifteen summers of age, if that. He never knew his parents, only that he was born a helot, and dreamt of one day becoming a great warrior. Then came the battle for Lookshy. Though he knew he was outmatched, he fought bravely in the city's third ring, doing all that he could to destroy the enemy. But he saw his death coming as an Abyssal stepped towards him, black daiklaives held ready. Miyoji held himself ready, knowing that his end was here.
And then the Heart of the Sword leapt forward, golden blade bared, and challenged the Deathknight. Miyoji watched for an eternal instant as the two Exalts clashed in a blur of gold and black, then returned to the fight, reenergized by the Solar's appearance. When the battle was won, Miyoji had won his citizenship, in recognition of his prowress. Still, he remained in awe of the feats he had witnessed, and asked the Dawn caste to take him on as an apprentice.
Jorim was skeptical at first, but eventually agreed to have one of his followers test Miyoji's skill. All were surprised, though, when the young man defeated his tester with ease. Since that day, Miyoji has been a part of Jorim's company, training hard to improve his sword skills. Though he would never say, or even dare think it, he dreams one day of Exalting like his mentor, and being able to match the feats of the Heart of the Sword. Even if he does not, though, his tenacity and raw abilities have inspired many, and his skills place him as one of Jorim's lieutenants.
(Appearance to come shortly)
Back to [[BreakingtheWheel|Breaking the Wheel main page]]
