The event caused quakes and aftershocks measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale in the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hartford%2C_CT Hartford, CT] area and the opposite point on the planet at the same times off the coast of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perth%2C_Western_Australia Perth, Australia] and its effects are felt as far away as Washington, D.C.  Although it's not conclusive that it was his power that created this phenominon he has since been much more careful.
