===Birth and Early Life===

In his mortal days, he was named Styr. The youngest son of Grima, born of his third wife, he grew up as many children did in those times, tending the cooking fires and butchering what bounty the hunt provided. He grew lean and strong, taking his first deer by eight, and his first boar by twelve, the creature having run itself up the length of his spear.<br>

In time, he took a wife from among the women of a neighboring village, and so might have lived out his days, short as they often were for his tribe. But the Creators are fickle and merciless, and the Gods that serve them ambitious, and so it was not to be.<br>
