Farideh’s journey is not without its challenges. The shifting alliances and rivalries among the warbands create a constant undercurrent of tension, and Farideh must constantly prove her worth to maintain her position. Her status as a woman in a male-dominated society adds another layer of complexity, as she must often fight twice as hard to earn the same respect as her male counterparts.

Additionally, her magical abilities, while a source of strength, also make her a target. High-power mages are rare, and many view them with a mixture of awe and suspicion. Farideh must navigate these perceptions carefully, using her magic to her advantage without alienating those who fear it.
