==Backstory==

Keep on smiling! Mercurial, forgiving, and undaunted by guilt – Lottie’s rough life has done little to damp her enthusiasm. Orphaned on Tunguska in an industrial accident, liability pay-outs made her a corporate ward and paved the way for a respectable education…

But life isn’t kind. Not to a ‘corpo lacky’ bereft of a real support structure. Not on Tunguska where criminality defines life, and money defines worth. With nothing but a smile, and dreams of being somewhere else, the unthinkable happened during a corporate bootcamp: ALEPH noticed her. 
How, why and what for…it doesn’t matter. She shrugs. Maybe that adaptable, flows like water attitude is just the AI needed. Or maybe it just saw someone who needed something else. Anything is possible, Lottie supposes, when you’re ALEPH. 

From black-ops to open war on Paradiso, and back again into the guts of the Human Sphere - Lottie did her job time after time. Not even dying, only to be brought back to die again, seemed to stop her smiling, stop her taking life in its stride. 

She’s just a nobody-girl given a few spare chances. And it would be a shame if she didn’t enjoy putting those chances to good use.
