=Expectations and Procedures= Consider this the official "rules" section of the wiki. I will try to update this as we go. When in doubt, these rules supersede whatever is in the books. When in further doubt, the DM's feckless whimsy supersedes whatever is in here. ==Posting== I hope to put up an official "moving the game along" post three times a week (though I may post responses and whatnot more frequently), and I expect players to post at roughly the same rate. I also encourage players to post more frequently when engaging in dialogue with one another. My expectations for weekend posting are very low. I would like to keep regularly scheduled DM posts to a Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday schedule, meaning that you will always have at least one full weekday to respond before I post again. ==Rolling== Please use Orokos for all rolls, along with the tag '''"Far from Home."''' Make sure to label each roll appropriately. I'm not going to be obsessively checking everybody's history, but I will look occasionally. Please do not cheat during make-believe funtimes. If you're in a situation where you want to say, "Hey Cale, could/should I make a roll here?" then you should go ahead and make the roll rather than waiting for the back-and-forth confirmation process. Note that I'm not saying that you should interpret the results yourself (that's my bag, baby), but there's no need to wait on me to give you the nod before rolling. I'll either adjudicate the result or tell you that the roll isn't needed/that the action isn't possible. ==Combat== We will streamline combat as much as possible, including using a party initiative rather than individual ones. During combat scenes, I will post as soon as all players have taken their actions rather than waiting on the DM post schedule. I will still make sure that players have at least one full weekday to post, however. During combat, I will post all relevant stats for the creatures you are fighting so that you can write complete posts rather than simply saying "I attempt to swing my sword." This should keep things moving relatively quickly. Hiccups should be expected at the beginning, but we'll iron them out as we go.
