Editing Morturi: Duel Series (section)

=Entry Conditions=

A "Duel Series" is a one-on-one duel.

In a Campaign, the Imperator advises the lanistae when he is iniating a "Duel Series". 

A Lanista can then call out that he is "hosting a duel" and lays down a gladiator. This is called the ''Challenge''. He also puts forward a sum of Denarii, called the "Stake". This sum can be any amount the Lanista can afford.

Any other Lanista who can complete this duel can then put forward a gladiator to "accept" the duel. If more than one Lanista puts forward gladiator, then the Lanista hosting the duel decides which one he would like to fight. The accepting school must match the "Stake" of the hosting school. To make things fair, all schools that want to "accept" should play their proposed gladiator simultaneously, laying them face down and then revealing all at once.

That battle is then fought.

After the battle, any Lanista can host another duel.

Note that a Lanista is never obliged to make or accept a challenge. If a challenge is made but no Lanista accepts, then that school may make another challenge. 

If the Imperator wishes, he may state a maximum number of challenges that may be made by each Lanista. Generally, three challenges per campaign month per Lanista is plenty.
