== Material Notes ==

Different glyphs require different inks. Inks are made from pigments, pigments are milled from herbs -- five of the same herb are milled into between two and four pigment.

If a glyph requires one ink, that generally means two pigments, which means five herbs. If it requires two ink, that's four pigments, and (to be safe) 10 herbs. Some inks require rare pigments, which occur irregularly in milling. I've generally found it to be about one rare per 20 herbs, but I've gone longer without getting one.
