== Journal == :: ?? <br> ---- ---- [[Exalted - Saturday Game Gang|EXALTED CAMPAIGN PORTAL]] '''Master of the Eastern Wind''' True Name: Wu Shih Caste: Zenith Languages Known: High Realm Background: Wu was given to a remote monastic order when he was very young. It is not known why his parents gave him up, but there are some whispers that he was the product of shame or tragedy. The truth is unknown even to Wu himself. Wu grew up knowing only the esoteric and difficult monastic teachings of his order and the harsh and beautiful An-teng Mountains. For nearly forty years Wu trained and excelled in the ways of the healing hand and the striking fist, attaining some small reputation of note among the mountain dwellers of the area. Not once in this time did he leave the mountains or make contact with anyone outside of the local area. This would have likely been the rest of his life, but destiny had other plans for Wu Shih. The dawn of his 40th birthday he Exalted. His messenger and guide came to him in the form of a golden monkey who spoke to him of great and terrible things. Things of past and possibility. The recognition of the power inside him hit Wu like cyclonic winds. He reeled and staggered out into the early morning mists, jabbering, hopping, and laughing with the monkey. The other monks emerged from their humble quarters to stare at the strange and awesome spectacle of the newly Exalted Zenith. After a week of meditation and prayer and council with his mentor and elders, Wu knew he had to leave the monastery for the sake of his fellows. It was a sad parting as Wu left all he knew for the unknown. He also left his name behind the walls of the humble retreat, for now he had become much more than pious Wu Shih. He had become Master of the Eastern Wind! He descended from the high altitudes and wandered for several days in the lightly forested hills until he was directed by the Sun Monkey to a small clearing where he met the man known as Golden Ivory. The two men were quick to form a bond, for Golden Ivory was also Exalted. Knowing little of the outside world, but knowing that it needed to be set right, Master of the Eastern Wind joined Golden Ivory in his travels.
