=History= *Blarg im ded* And it all went downhill from there. The Most Radiant Redoubt Caught in the Web of Struggle and Sadness is the title that the Lover's Clad in the Raiment of Tears gave her, showing an uncanny understanding of her new deathknight's true nature, not surprising considering it came from a deathlord. Redoubt (super-shortened form) has been one of those hard to deal with persons, the kind of person that receives the abyssal exaltation, runs around in fanatic devotion to killing everything for a little bit, but very quickly grows to regret her choice once she realizes that destroying is the only thing she can ever hope to accomplish. Oh, it happens more often than it seems, that stupid solar exaltation that just won't give up to corruption once and for all. Fortunately, it's just a starting difficulty, for most deathknights simply give up the futile struggle or realize that yes, killing everything dead is what they really wanted to do all along. But then there's the canny people, the creatives with more willpower than it's good for them. That's why Redoubt eventually calmed down from her post-exaltation tantrum and... Ran away. Yeah, the Lover hated when they did that. They say that if all you have is a hammer, then all your problems start looking like nails. Redoubt used to be a kind girl, a goody two shoes, a reliable person you could run to and muffle your tears against her chest, but then she was killed, and now all that's left of her is a noticeably more cynical person full of amazing powers, all related to death and destruction. There is nothing she can't do except destroy, all she touches is corrupted, anyone she meets could die horribly just because they liked her eyes, and being a renegade, her resonance and relative backlash accumulate at a rather fast rate, endangering anyone fool enough to be close to her, even metaphorically speaking. That's why she wants people to fear her, to be scared of her smile, to avoid her eyes; that's why she won't bother trying to promote good neighbourhood or positive associations but rather destroy anything she doesn't like, making it crumble under the weight of its own hatred; that's why she doesn't ask nicely and befriend people, but rather uses lies, corruption, blackmail or more direct threats to get what she wants. She is a villain, everyone that knows her must hate or fear her, and do what she says while also trying to avoid her presence. That way, they won't die because of what she is, because of her curse and the blight she carries into creation. Well, most won't; she can't save everyone, but being able to cheat the Neverborn makes her feel good enough. However, should she find someone that just won't die, or who is too strong to be killed by a simple curse... That might make her villain mask to falter a bit. Maybe. Assuming she doesn't have more fun wearing it, of course.
