A plain-faced plain-spoken ex-guardswoman, Diona serves as a military chaplain aboard the vessel, ministering to the spiritual worries of the House's armed forces on-board. While she deals with many minor problems herself, she regularly reports any wide-spread or serious concerns to Elias, who, while younger than her, she acknowledges has a sincere and pure faith that somehow finds a way to resolve such concerns, often in his sermons every five days. Her views of the Ecclesiarchy as a whole are perhaps more secular and cynical than Elias would prefer, but he cannot deny her unwavering dedication to the Emperor and his Faith.

Titus manages the day-to-day tasks at the ship's somewhat meagre (for an Imperial capital ship) chapel, and, similarly to Diona, hears the concerns of the faithful, from minor worries over points of faith to nightmares that shake the roots of their souls. An older man with a neatly-trimmed white beard, gentle blue and weathered face, he is a reassuring presence for many as he cleans the altar or ministers to the cares of the flock. He has few ambitions in life, being satisfied by the fulfillment of his duties, but he does seem to have a problem with speaking when a certain attractive captain's personal aide comes by...
