==Personality==
Xiu Lin is polite and formal in many circumstances, understanding the secret that Courtesy costs one nothing, and opens the gates of Heaven to the cunning. To that end, she is prone to
conservative stances, choosing to root herself in what is Known, and using this knowledge to advance her own schemes and ambitions, climbing the ladder of creation one rung at a time.
This makes her relatively popular amongst most she meets, as she does not espouse any radical agenda that might give offense, and makes it easy for her to slip beneath the notice
of those mightier then herself, and learn how best to manipulate the situation to best serve her own needs and desires.

Despite all of this though, her motivations at the core are simple and utilitarian. She recognizes that the most effective way to live a happy and healthy life, is to ensure that your environment
is equally healthy and satisfied. This by no means makes her an environmentalist--simply that she attempts to resolve any potential Threats before they can become dangerous enough to
threaten her ideals, that she does not cultivate relations that would prove disadvantageous to her own hopes, and most importantly--she does not customarily indulge in trivialities when there
is important Work to be done. This does make her appear rather serious on the outset--and it's not entirely inaccurate. It's just that there's far too much work to be done, and little time
to do it in--that leaves her no time for trivialities. Perhaps one day, when her environment is immaculate, and the work is done, she may allow herself to rest and relax.

That day is not today.
