=== The Boneyard === Many of the poor and penniless dead of Blackport end up as fodder for the large humanoid population of the city. But at times there is more supply than even that demand can accommodate; for that, Blackport uses the many garbage barges that dump remains out to sea; alternatively, the Boneyard offers a land-based option. The Boneyard started when the Arena was built as a place to perform mass burials of any remains leftover by the humanoid population of Blackport or acquired by the Necromancer’s Guild. It is now a general-purpose burial ground for the poorest and lowest of the city, of which there are many. There are generally a few wardens who patrol the place to make sure bodies are actually buried and not just dumped there, and a team of unfortunates works the Yard, as it is called, burying any that escape the rules. The place is, unsurprisingly, considered to be one of the most haunted places in the city environs.
