Despite fitting nearly a lifetime's worthy of misdeeds into 20 years, a part of him from still seeks good deeds and helping others.  These urges manifest themselves in pro-bono jobs against dangerous people, an abusive boyfriends trip to the hospital, and even once rescuing a dog from a tree.  They are coming more frequently now, perhaps in response to his condition and the situation he finds himself in.
