===A Short History=== In 1835 a small group of settlers founded the Settlement of Star on the west coast of america along the shores of the Pacific ocean on a gentle, forested slope in a place called Orchid Bay. It 1846 a young Scotsman named MacQueen came to what had grown into a small township and opened, to the surprise of many, a shipyard. He would build ships, load them with cargo, mostly local lumber and some native crafts, and then send them across the sea to Asia where both ship and cargo would be sold. The gold rush of 1848 bought many miners into the area and MacQueen made use of, some say took advantage of, the influx of what would turn out to be cheap labour, to build a railroad from the Township of Star to the settled east. When the gold rush ended in 1855 Star had become a small City and MacQueen one of its chief citizens. Star City grew slowly through the years that followed, seeing some influx of war tired refugees during the Civil War. In 1868 there was an explosion at a copper mine in the mountains above Star City. Joseph Gardener and his two sons West and Michael were killed, leaving only the oldest brother Nathan Gardener the survivor. He came from the mine, surprisingly unharmed, though some said he was touched in the head after that day. Touched or not the old copper Gardener mine started producing gold. In 1870 Nathan Gardener, now the richest man in Star City has set his sites on the position of Mayor. He has hired a large number of violent men and women to act as his personal army, under the claim of hiring security for his mine and gold. Many people had flocked to Star City, swelling its population and causing the city to grown in a chaotic way. The once orderly Star City is not a collection of ramshackle buildings and shanty towns mixed with the stone and timber construction of Star Cityβs earlier days.
