Editing Elza Nighthawk (section)

=History=
Formerly a simple mercenary, Elza Exalted during an attack on the caravan she was guarding. As arrows soared from her immaculate golden bow like comets to smite the wicked, she realised that her glory was not alone; a similarly-haloed person stood proudly in on the roof of the wagon full of hapless passengers she was protecting, casually deflecting the arrows fired at him with his bare hands. It was almost second nature how their efforts came together; he would defend, and she would attack, and within a minute, what should have been a devastating raid became an outright rout for the attackers, who fled back into the desert before the might of the Exalted. But before Elza could exchange proper greetings with the stranger, he swooped over her head, mounted in his personal tempest. For a moment, it seemed that he would simply depart and she would never see him again, but then he reached a hand down to her.<br><BR> 

Elza didn't need further invitation. She took his offered hand and the two of them rode the sirocco into the sands.<BR><BR>

The stranger introduced himself as Leo over a soak in a conveniently-located hot spring, and as it turned out, he was a scavenger lord and a member of the Twilight Caste, a Solar Exalted just like she was. He'd been planning a nice, restful trip in a luxury wagon (while he did know sorcery, why be ostentatious when simple human comforts would suffice?) when the attack had come. Then he popped the question; why not team up? After all, Solars were a rare breed in the Second Age and they had many enemies. Sticking together would probably be a good idea, at least until they grew tired of each other. <BR><BR>

Thus, Elza joined Leo in his adventures. She found that her Exaltation had given her a remarkable aptitude for analyzing people, be it in their actions or their bodies, and her own talent with the bow had only increased since the Sun's mark bloomed upon her brow. She'd also been a quick study in the occult theory that Leo had imparted to her (it seemed that he'd been dying for a chance to be a proper teacher) and she was just beginning her training in the thaumaturgical arts when Leo vanished one night. She searched all over for him, to no avail. Her danger sense hadn't recognized any threat to her... so if someone had taken him, that would mean they were targeting him and him alone. But more importantly... Leo had been carrying all the money, and even that was gone as well! Elza hastily retreated before the staff could come looking for her, but even as she fled, her mind was still on her erstwhile companion.<BR><BR>

And this is how she runs into the group.<BR> <BR>

In general, Elza is softspoken, but deeply brave and amazingly stubborn when she commits to a cause. Unfortunately, she tends to overdo things, which is something of a liability when combined with her penchance for showboating (Leo encouraged her to be more expressive... she decided to take the miniker of Nighthawk, on the belief that Nighthawk meant "someone with a cool and mysterious sounding hero name". <BR><BR>

That said, the suffering of innocents incites her ire like nothing else can, and an angered Elza is probably one of the most fearsome things in Creation...<BR><BR>
