==="Of the other non-dufiro spell books thats interesting is Roseque Scent Magics. This volume includes formulae for creating scent based spells common in [[Roseque]]."=== Picking up a book, β'''3rd Level Magery Spells'''. This is a common book any Mage would have. It looks like the damage group of 3rd Level spells. *'''The Lightning Suite''' has Ball Lightning , Lightning Bolt , Lightning Dart, & Mini-Bolt. *'''The Fire Suite''' has Fire Ball, Fire Dart ,Flame, Heat Cone, Ball of Fire ,Mini-Wide Heat Cone, Mini-Ball, & Maxi-Ball. *'''The Cold Suite''' has Cold Cone, Mini-Cold Cone Mini-Wide Cold Cone. None of these are unusual. It also has a couple of the strength spells, Con Light, and Wizard light. These are common as I said and most any practitioner of Magery would have a book or 20 with these spells in it.β Picking up the next, βThis is Magery too. '''6th Level Spells'''. The Sixth Level spells are more interesting in that not that many Mages get more then 3 or 4 of the ''6th level'' spells. This tome has Acid Protection, Astral Eye , Air Wall , Bomb , Animate Object, Geas , Area Muscle Spasm , Projected Image, Move Earth , Part Water , Sustained Dimension Door , Passenger Teleportation , Wizard Wind , Stone to Flesh. βOf these Astral Eye, Geas, and Sustained Dimension Door are the most useful. A mage might kill to get this in his racks. Of course its all Low Order. A High Order protection spell would wallop all this stuff, but without that... its pretty tough stuff. I've yet to see a really functional High Order Geas spell. But Geas is one of the first powers a Wisher-aspirant dives for when they take Masoja of Knowledge Go figure.β He picks up the listry book, looking it over, turning pages....βHmmm. You said your Freemason was a summoner? Tried summoning Fortunadus...Makes sense. This is a Listry Book. Its from a system of magic called in Gorbash the Spell Laws. Gorbash is crap.. In Kolbashic it would be called something like Spell Structure Magics. So... Call it Listry, and the Spell Law worlds. The system is highly complex and puts Magery to shame in its usefulness and scope. There are 3 main systems; '''Channeling''', '''Mentalism''', and '''Essence''', plus numerous minor specialties. Each system has numerous spell groups called ''''' Lists'''''. What you have here is an '''Essence''' tome including the ''lists'' for '''Lofty Bridges''', '''Gate Mastery''', and '''Dispelling Ways'''. "SO if you were an Essence practitioner these lists would help you move around with spells like leaping, landing, teleport, portal, long door and fly. It would help you dispel a range of magics but mostly Listry magics. "But '''''Gate Mastery'''''....fuck, I bet this got your Freemason in trouble. Summons, Controls, Demonic Gates, Greater Demonic Gates, Mass summoning. But in my opinion, if you are going to muck with listry anyway, the 1st circle Gate Mastery spell is Take Familiar. β βBack to the Roseque book. This is a primer to teach Scent Magic. It has a few dozen basic ''potions-perfumes'' that you can make. Minor interest, Minor admiration, Minor Lust, Minor Love.. But the good part is that the system can be learned from this book. Its a form of alchemy. On Roseque most these perfumes would be easily available. High School Alchemy stuff. β βI must eat for a bit and look over your abyssal tomes to make a determination on them. Give me a couple hours.β He starts summoning foods he clearly likes but that Rafe and Dalt can in no way identify.
